The joy of drawing out the unique charm of a motif and finishing a painting with my own interpretation and intuition has not changed since I started Japanese-style painting. Japanese painting techniques are characterized by traditional materials and unique painting methods. It is mainly painted on silk or Japanese paper, using mineral pigments made from crushed ores or shell pigments.
The basic technique is line drawing using sumi ink and coloring with painting materials made from a mixture of pigments and glue, with some decorative techniques involving the application of gold and silver leaf. The brush strokes are delicate, and the beauty of the margins is used as a reference to express the transition of nature and the seasons.
